THE STORY

Kali Cai Records was founded by Malachi — known professionally as Kali Cai — an R&B artist and audio engineer based in East Nashville, Tennessee. After years navigating the music industry as an artist himself, Malachi understood something most studio owners don’t: what it actually feels like to sit in that chair on the other side of the glass.

That experience shaped everything about how this studio was built. The vibe, the process, the pricing, the patience — all of it designed around one goal: helping independent artists make records they’re proud of, without signing away what they’ve built to get there.

We bring the sonic DNA of modern R&B to a world-class studio environment, with expertise in 808-driven production, vocal layering, trap arrangements, and melodic songwriting.
